Pasta Bar Los Angeles is looking for a Bartender to join our Michelin starred team ! The bartender is crucial to the beverage program and elevates the guest experience through curating unique beverages with sophicated flavors of the cuisine, experimenting with unique ingredients, and presentation. Pasta Bar Los Angeles is seeking a bartender that goes beyond just serving drinks, but contributes to an unforgettable Michelin caliber experience !
POSITION SUMMARY
The role of the Bartender is to provide primary support to the Front of House and to execute the wine and beverage program per the direction of the Company standards. The Bartender will need to possess, deliver, practice and utilize strong work ethics, execute fine dining bar service with a specialty knowledge of wine, cocktails, and mocktails.
The position is responsible for the various tasks involved in the front of house operations including constant positive interaction with guests and team (culinary and front of house), ability to prepare batch cocktails, make beverage pairing recommendations, as well as maintain a pristine area of operation. The position requires availability to work and special events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest services by providing a warm and inviting environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest; maintaining elevated standards, having product knowledge, a solid understanding of the mechanics of service, and all other components of guest services.
● Works with the General Manager to ensure proper beverages are made available to enhance the quality of the guest experience
● Reports on time and works the entirety of all services dressed and prepared for service
● Complete prep work
● Works cleanly and efficiently
● Able to connect with guests and make beverage recommendations at various stages of their dining experience
● Completes nightly and deep cleaning checklists
● Assist with inventory control and reporting low quantities of product
● Assists General Manager with research and development for products to be tested to elevate a unique food and beverage guest experience.
● Complete all required trainings as assigned
● Assist in other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
● Valid Food Handling and Responsible Alcohol Certifications
● Maintain professionalism when outside of work and in social environments (including all social media outlets) – understanding that you are a representative of Scratch Restaurant Group
● Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects/tasks
● Excellent oral and written communication skills
● Excellent hygiene
● Guest and Team focused attitude
● Availability to work within expected hours of operation (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)
● Ability to work collaboratively with Chef de Cuisine, Management and Team
● Skills in effective time management, organization, multitasking, and prioritization
● Proficient in Point of Sale platforms; preferred but not required
● High school equivalent mathematical skills
TRAVEL
Travel may be expected for this position for training and or coverage.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to communicate with co-workers and guests in a noisy, fast paced environment.
● Satisfactory vision.
● Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (at least 8-10 hours per day).
● Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time non-exempt position with expected work hours to be 40 to 50 hours a week. Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required as job duties demand.
