 Scratch Restaurants started when Chefs Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee decided they wanted to put their personal spin on what a restaurant concept could be. Although each of their concepts are independent and unique from one another, the constant thread that ties all of Scratch Restaurants together is the dedication to the artisanal “from scratch” approach to hospitality. Currently featuring and expanding our Sushi|Bar and Pasta|Bar tasting menu concepts.

Tucked into hidden corners across the U.S., we create spaces where every seat feels personal, and every bite tells a story. Guided by the Head Chef, our team honors Japanese tradition while embracing inventive techniques and unexpected flavors, crafting moments that linger
long after the last course is served.

We are looking for an experienced and polished Maitre’d to oversee guest front of house service, reservations and overall dining experience, while being available to assist our Bar Program as needed.

This position is managed by The Matheson

The Maitre’ D Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Coordinating and Managing Reservations
● Answering the Phone, Emails, and Text Messages from Guests
● Manage and Train other FOH Staff on Hosting and Canapé Service
● Assist with the Bar Service Program, as scheduling needs require.
● Greet and Welcome Guests, ensuring a High Standard of Hospitality
● Coordinate with the Chef and FOH Staff to Ensure Timely and Efficient Service
● Handle Guest’s Feedback, Resolving them in a Professional Manner.
● Maintain an Updated Knowledge of the Menu, Beverage List, and Specials
● Manage VIP Guests and Special Events to Ensure an Exceptional Experience.
● Regularly Review Product for Quality
● Organize and Supervise Shifts
● Ensure Compliance with Sanitation and Safety Regulations
● Promote the Brand in the Local Community through Word-of-Mouth and Restaurant Events
● Foster a Collaborative Spirit by Supporting your Colleagues
● Interact with Guests and Team Members with Warmth and Professionalism.
● Ensure Thoughtfulness, Accuracy, and Precision in All Aspects of Service

Candidate Qualifications:
● Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maitre’d or in a similar role in Hospitality
● Priority will be given to candidates with Bartending/Sommelier/Beverage Service experience
● Passion for Hospitality and the ability to provide exceptional service and create lasting memories for our guests
● Warm and Professional communication and leadership skills.
● Are a reliable, flexible team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations
● Have open FULL TIME availability to work nights and weekends, including Holidays
